Congratulations to our Brother Charles Barry, who celebrated his Diamond Jubilee, (60 years), as a Patrician Brother!
In August 1955, Brother Charles joined the Patrician Brothers in Ireland. At the tender age of 21, he was asked to leave his home and family to come to Australia to teach at Patrician Brothers Fairfield, where he was appointed Principal after 5 years.
In 1968, Brother Charles joined a group of 21 volunteers who established the Patrician story in Papua New Guinea, clearing the land, building schools and educating the grateful students and building communities.

We have been blessed to have Brother Charles with us at Delany College for 20 years now, as a teacher, and now Counsellor. He is a man of many talents and the students and staff appreciate his wisdom, caring and humble lead.

Our Stage 6 Music students had the wonderful opportunity to experience Disneyโs The Lion King live at the Capitol Theatre. ๐ฆ๐ญ๐ถ It was a fantastic opportunity for our students to see professional musicians and performers at work and to experience first hand how music, movement, staging and storytelling come together in a world class theatrical production. Experiences like this bring classroom learning to life and give our young musicians a chance to see where their own creativity, musicianship and performance skills can take them. A brilliant day of music, theatre and inspiration for our Stage 6 musicians! And, of course, thereโs only one way to finishโฆ Hakuna Matata! ๐ฆ๐

Please join us in congratulating our Week 3 Academic Juggernaut winners from Year 9 and Year 10! ๐ These students are being recognised for their effort, determination, positive attitude and commitment to learning. They are stepping up, striving for success and setting a great example both in and out of the classroom. ๐YEAR 9 โ Rachel Habib Rachel consistently demonstrates a positive attitude and strong commitment to College expectations. She is prepared, organised and takes pride in her uniform and school community. Her respectful, friendly and cooperative approach makes her a wonderful presence around the College. ๐ YEAR 10 โ James Sarkis James consistently demonstrates care, respect and commitment across all areas of College life. ๐โจ A day of faith, friendship and leadership! โ๏ธ Our Year 10 students joined their peers from fellow Patrician schools for an inspiring day exploring the life and legacy of Bishop Daniel Delany. Through interactive activities, meaningful conversations and plenty of singing, students reflected on the values of the Patrician Brothers and the timeless message of the Breastplate of St Patrick. ๐ญ Our Stage 5 Drama students recently enjoyed an inspiring excursion to GRIMM: Tales from the Brothers Grimm at the Joan Sutherland Performing Arts Centre in Penrith. Presented by Shake & Stir Theatre Co., this bold and imaginative production brought classic fairy tales to life through innovative staging, dynamic physical theatre and stunning visual design. The experience gave students valuable insight into contemporary Australian theatre, creative storytelling and the many ways performance can captivate an audience.
