Reflections from Delany Gallipoli students from CatholicEdParra on Vimeo

Four Delany College, Granville students and teacher Jennifer Venhuizen had the extraordinary experience of travelling to Anzac Cove, Gallipoli for the Dawn Service.

Students Divashna Kumar, Raphaella Chidiac, Beverley Kaviya and Krystal Docker were announced as Anzac ambassadors late last year after winning the Anzac Day tribute essay writing competition. The young women were among just 100 students selected from NSW to participate in the commemoration ceremonies at Gallipoli.

Since their return from Gallipoli, the students have shared their experiences with the community, including veterans at Granville RSL Club.

Our Stage 6 Music students had the wonderful opportunity to experience Disneyโ€™s The Lion King live at the Capitol Theatre. ๐Ÿฆ๐ŸŽญ๐ŸŽถ It was a fantastic opportunity for our students to see professional musicians and performers at work and to experience first hand how music, movement, staging and storytelling come together in a world class theatrical production. Experiences like this bring classroom learning to life and give our young musicians a chance to see where their own creativity, musicianship and performance skills can take them. A brilliant day of music, theatre and inspiration for our Stage 6 musicians! And, of course, thereโ€™s only one way to finishโ€ฆ Hakuna Matata! ๐Ÿฆ๐ŸŒ…
