MothersDayDelany01

On Monday the 14th of May, we came together as a school community prior to Mother's Day in celebration of all the Delany mother's.

We started the day alongside the community of Holy Trinity Primary School where we celebrated a Mass at Holy Trinity Church in Granville. The Mass focused on the importance of mother's as we reflected on the story of Jesus and his own mother.

The Mass was followed by a light morning tea where mother's and grandmother's shared stories and reflected on the importance of their roles.

We wish the entire school community a very enjoyable Mother's Day this weekend.

Thank you to everyone who was able to attend and played a role in making the morning special and memorable.

πŸ’βœ¨ Creativity meets craftsmanship in Visual Design at Delany College! Our students are developing real-world manufacturing and product design skills as they create a stunning jewellery collection, including a men’s ring, a three-stone ladies’ ring, a pendant featuring a hand-cut gemstone and a piece produced using CAD/CAM technology. As AI and digital technologies continue to shape industry, students learn to balance traditional jewellery-making techniques with cutting-edge design tools, building the skills needed for future careers while learning how to communicate their ideas to specific audiences. This impressive sample piece by Damon showcases the quality of work our students can achieve. And the exciting part? They’re still learning ... the best is yet to come! 🌟 #DelanyCollege #VisualDesign #JewelleryDesign #CreativeIndustries #CADCAM #DesignEducation #FutureReady #StudentWork #HandsOnLearning #STEMandDesign

πŸ’™πŸ€β˜” Despite the rainy weather, our Year 12 students demonstrated outstanding compassion and commitment by volunteering with Vinnies Van, supporting members of the community experiencing homelessness. Their willingness to give back, even in challenging conditions, reflects the remarkable character and generosity of our Year 12 cohort. A special thank you to Miss Ghribian and Mr. Trad for accompanying and supporting our students throughout this meaningful experience. πŸ‘πŸ’™
