Thanks to all those who participated in and attended our Multicultural Day on Wednesday 22nd June. It was great to celebrate with the Community, taste the food from the many different cultures and hear the stories of those who travelled to this country from what sounds like another world to many of us who were born here in Australia.
The afternoon was a wonderful example of the Delany community spirit. Our students, led by Rachel Tuala, managed to put together an amazing afternoon of cultural diversity and celebration in food, clothing and performance.

Student mobile phone use will be banned across 80 Western Sydney Catholic schools from the beginning of the 2026 school year. The restriction presents a positive opportunity to enhance student outcomes, both in academic excellence and wellbeing.

π Max Potential Project Spotlight! π The Max Potential Program empowers students to grow as young leaders by setting personal and community goals. Through coaching and workshops, participants develop confidence, communication, and leadership skills β all while creating projects that make a real difference in their local community. π Congratulations to Sienna and Rylan, who proudly represented Delany College in this yearβs Max Potential Program! π« Siennaβs project, βUnity Week,β focused on strengthening community connections and reducing loneliness through creativity and service β including food donations, handmade bracelets, and heartfelt cards for those in need. π¬ Rylanβs project built on his experience in the Top Blokes Program, featuring guest speaker Jason Blyth, who inspired students to find purpose and choose their own path through faith. Our Stage 5 and Year 11 Visual Arts students braved the Bondi heat to immerse themselves in the world of contemporary sculpture at Sculpture by the Sea! From monumental site-specific installations to coastal masterpieces, they absorbed every ounce of artistic inspiration (and sunshine π ). πβ¨ Year 12 English β Learning Beyond the Classroom Throughout the HSC English course, our Year 12 students have taken part in a range of inspiring excursions that brought their studies to life and boosted their exam prep. π At the Richard III Symposium at the Seymour Centre, students explored Module A in depth and experienced the power of Shakespeare live on stage. π They sharpened their skills at the English Teachers Associationβs HSC Paper 2 Day β diving into Modules A, B & C alongside students from across NSW. βοΈ A creative writing workshop with author Will Kostakis provided fresh ideas and practical strategies for writing imaginative responses. π¬ And to top it off, English Advanced students attended a gripping performance of 1984, enriching their understanding of the Common Module text.
