Learning at Delany
Delany is a place where curiosity, imagination and love of learning thrive through working together to provide the most effective, engaging and challenging learning experiences for students.
As a Catholic Education Diocese of Parramatta school, we’re working together to transform learning for students in Greater Western Sydney. This means reimagining and refreshing learning and teaching for today’s world and today’s learners.
The purpose and promise of a Catholic education is to inspire each learner to discover a meaningful and fulfilling life.
Our faith journey
Our Patrician heritage and Catholic values are integrated into school life with students participating in Religious Education, liturgies and retreat programs. In close partnership with parents and the Parish, we work to ensure the spiritual and social development of students.
Our faith journey
Beyond the classroom
We believe it is important for students to pursue interests to find what they are passionate about. Our school gives them exposure to a range of exciting opportunities to unlock their creative potential, develop a talent or follow a passion.
At Delany College we have a proud tradition of sporting success and our students participate in weekly school sport activities. We aim to teach our students the benefits of a healthy, active lifestyle while developing key life skills such as teamwork and sportsmanship. Sports offered include:
- Rugby League
- Touch Football
Representative pathways are also available through the Parramatta Diocese Secondary Schools Sports Council.
Bring your own device (BYOD)
Delany prepares our students for a rapidly changing world, where technology plays a large role in all aspects of our lives. We support this through our up-to-date teaching focus which is supplemented by our Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) initiative.
Parents as partners
Strong partnerships between home, parish and school support students to grow in faith and learning. We welcome parent and carer involvement and invite parents and carers to contribute towards building community by contributing to the life of the school through volunteering roles.
