Delany Spirit:
As a school we love and appreciate each other dearly. We make sure that even those who take a walk through our school feel the same too. Our teachers mean a lot to us as well. If unwell, leaving or have simply missed a class, a piece of our hearts is taken with them. We try our best as a school to ensure that love and the Delany Spirit is delivered to all.
APPRECIATION is a big word that means Gratitude and it is our duty as Delany students to show that we acknowledge the presence of those around us. The Patrician Spirit is a huge part of our idea of family. We are a family. Those who are here and those who have left are all part of the Delany family. โFor God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting lifeโ ๐โ๏ธ Today the Delany community commemorated Holy week, which celebrates the life and death of our Saviour Jesus Christ โค๏ธ Our amazing students retold the Passion narrative through the Stations of the Cross. They showed how Jesus was able to absorb all the violence and transform it and return it as love and forgiveness. This Easter Sunday as we celebrate the risen Lord may we recognise the amazing grace gifted to us by our God๐

Careers expo a hit for Western Sydney students
Hundreds of Western Sydney students from Years 9 to 12 and some who recently graduated, joined teachers, parents, carers, and educators at St Patrickโs Cathedral, Parramatta for the Beyond School, What's Next? Careers Expo hosted by Catholic Schools Parramatta Diocese (CSPD).

Big shout out to Stella Fitzpatrick, Alex Zeitoun and Brandon Daniels who represented Delany College in the PDSSSC Parramatta Zone Swimming Carnival at Sydney Olympic Swimming Centre ๐โโ๏ธ๐โโ๏ธ Both Stella Fitzpatrick and Alex Zeitoun swam well and achieved personal bests in their respective swimming events. Brandon Daniels competed in four events and was awarded a bronze medal in the Under 12s 50 metres butterfly final and a silver medal in the 100 meters freestyle ๐ ๐ ๐ Congratulations on a great effort!!! ๐๐ป๐๐ป๐๐ป

A fun day out was has at the girls basketball gala day on Friday โน๐ฝโโ๏ธ๐ Although we weren't able to secure a win, the girls worked impressively as a team to get as many points as possible onto the scoreboard. These students represented our school with Pride, Passion and Persistence and displayed excellent leadership qualities. We are extremely proud of each of them ๐๐คฉ

The 2024 Delany College Swimming Carnival๐๐ฝโโ๏ธ๐๐ฝโโ๏ธ was a fantastic day! The swimming, cheering, fancy dress and House spirit was outstanding. The atmosphere was great and it was so good to see all of the students so involved in all of the activities all day. What an absolute honour and blessing to have one of the few Patrician Brothers left in Australia, Brother Thomas, talk to our students about our proud Patrician heritage during our Year 7 Induction ๐๐ฎ๐ช It got competitive on the playground during the Year 7 scavenger hunt; thank you to our wonderful Year 12 House Leaders for assisting our new students!
