Tavishi and her Design an Ad
Tavishi Peiris of Year 7 has been awarded third place in the Design an Ad competition run by Fairfax Media.
Tavishi had to design an ad for Underwood Jewellers, Parramatta, following a design brief set out by them. Several schools in the area were selected by Underwood Jewellers and Tavishi's third place was well earned.

St Columbaβs Catholic College, Springwood, in partnership with the Jarara Cultural Centre, proudly hosted a Forum for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander senior students. The day was dedicated to exploring post-school pathways, including university and further education. Commitment to Close the Gap clear for Western Sydney Catholic schools
Catholic Schools Parramatta Diocese (CSPD) has released its first annual Closing the Gap report. This report outlines its contribution to improving socio-economic outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, particularly students and their families. CSPD Chief Executive Officer Jack de Groot said the report reflects the dedication of CSPDβs 6 500 staff in fostering reconciliation and equity through the organisationβs 80 outstanding school across Western Sydney and the Blue Mountains.
